Beta Gliphs is a unique collection of hand-crafted sterling silver jewelry created by Michael Doogan and Anita Miles (known to her friends as Beta), a husband and wife team. Together they design and produce each piece of jewelry in a studio in their home. They first combined their talents and love of ancient civilizations in Michael’s native state of New York where they experimented with different techniques and developed their own unique style. One trademark style is the great sculptural detail that is a common thread in all of their jewelry. They started with a pre-Columbian inspired line and have since branched out to encompass many primitive cultures. In 1994 they moved their studio from NYC to Anita’s hometown of Park City where they continue to explore ancient cultures to find inspiration for new Beta Gliphs creations.
